I was thrilled to be asked to be Fawaaz and Wafia’s Toronto wedding photographer, as when I first met Fawaaz, he seemed to a great guy with an appreciation of photography himself. I was also excited to be able to solo shoot such a large wedding. Not just Islamic Institute of Toronto wedding photography, we also had some time at Neilson house and a night shoot at One King west.
Fawaaz started the day with his dad helping him into his black suit and making sure he looked his best for his wife to be Wafia. When Fawaaz told me he didn’t know what shoes he was going to wear, I thought he would maybe be deciding between 2. His groomsmen helped him choose between 7 colourful varieties and encouraged him to go with the black dress shoe. Good choice Fawaaz!
It was then off to see Wafia at her parents house, who was sure to stun Fawaaz in her gorgeous white dress. After a quick touch up of makeup and a photo it was off to the ceremony.
During the ceremony at the Islamic Institute of Toronto, you could see how happy both of them were as they stole glances at each other and smiled. Their parents looked so proud of them and were most welcoming of each others family.
After a short drive down the street, it was time to give our bride and groom some time to be alone together. The Neilson House provided a great peaceful place to do just that.
Back at the reception, dinner was served. A delicious buffet, and a special cake to celebrate Fawaaz’s love for….Nutella.
The newlyweds were spending the night in downtown Toronto at One King West. Before they turned in for the night, We headed down to the old bank vault for a few pictures to cap off an amazing day. All the best you two!
