After the session

Your gallery isn't the finish line. Your home is.

A digital gallery is useful for sharing with family and keeping your images safe.

I just don’t believe your family photography experience should stop there.

To me, the real value is turning the photographs that matter most, into something real that you actually live with.

Portraits you walk past every day. Albums your kids love to grab from the shelf. Finished pieces that make this stage of life feel present and valued in your home.

Heartfelt family photos, with a clear path home.

I’m Matt Trimble, an East York family photographer helping busy Toronto parents bring their home to life with portraits that feel like their family, without turning the session into a performance.

The photographs matter. If they are going to live on your wall or in an album your kids reach for, they should feel true to you every time you see them. They need to be more than just a ‘nice picture’.

I talk you through the important things from the very first call, so your photos are created with your family, your space, and what matters most right now in mind.

You do not need to know what you want before reaching out

We’ll figure that out together so these moments can become part of the home you’re building together, instead of another thing to figure out later.

More than a photoshoot

I help you finish the job

This is not about rushing through a few poses and handing you a gallery to deal with later.

It is a guided process that starts with what matters to your family and ends with finished artwork for your home.

If you have ever meant to print photos “someday,” this was designed for you.

I’ll help with the decisions that usually feel hard, from planning the session to choosing what belongs on your walls.

Matching digital files are included with the artwork you choose.

Guidance from start to finish
Planning, clothing, session flow, image selection, and artwork support. You are not left figuring it out alone.

The Experience

1. We plan it together
We’ll talk about your family, your home, clothing, location, and what you want these portraits to feel like.

2. Your family gets to be themselves
Your kids can move, warm up, snack, and be themselves. I’ll guide you without making it feel stiff.

3. The photos come home.
After the session, we’ll look through the images together over Zoom and narrow things down.

I’ll help you choose artwork that fits your space, then your finished pieces arrive ready to enjoy.

See how the full experience works.

For your walls, shelves, and everyday life

Made to Be Displayed

Some photos are meant to be seen every single day.

Whether it’s a favourite portrait in the hallway, a wall grouping that brings together the most meaningful moments from your session or an album your kids can pull off the shelf when they want to see what they were like “when they were little.” I get you there without the overwhelm.

Some families know exactly what they want ahead of time. Most do not.

Either way, I’ll help you think through the options so your not guessing at sizes, frames, layouts or where everything should go.

You’ll see how your photos can look, finished in your space, before committing to anything, so you only take home what you love.

Not Sure Where to Start?

Here are three helpful starting points

01

A simple look at what happens before, during, and after your session.

02

Session fee, artwork options, and what most families invest.

03

See how different ages, locations, and kinds of kid energy show up in real sessions.

The photographer

Hi, I'm Matt,

an East York family photographer, a dad, and someone who understands how quickly ordinary family life changes.

I could start by telling you how I picked up my dad’s old Minolta SLR and fell in love with photography. And that’s true. But it is not the whole story.

Around my house, I’m also the coffee-fueled, pizza-tossing, Spanish-speaking, canoe-paddling guy who is usually up for the next adventure.

But the heart of my work is simple: I want families to have photos that feel like them, and I want those photos to become something they can see every day at home.
